About

green_403.jpgThe Green Party of Vancouver was founded in 1984, and has elected representatives to School Board, Park Board and most recently, City Council. In 2011, Adriane Carr - one of the party's original founders - was elected as Vancouver's first ever Green City Councillor. Since that time, Adriane has gained the respect and admiration of Vancouver citizens who value her independent voice on Council, her strong democratic principles, and her readiness to listen to what citizens have to say and then to be a voice for them at City Hall.

In 2014, Adriane Carr will be seeking re-election to Council along with Council running mates Pete Fry and Cleta Brown. Stuart Mackinnon and Michael Wiebe are your Green candidates for the Vancouver Park Board, and Mischa Oak and Janet Fraser are your Green candidates for Vancouver School Board.

Together, the Green Party of Vancouver team is your independent voice on Council, Park Board and School Board. We bring the fresh collaborative leadership that we need in order to build a Vancouver, together.
